What are your office hours?
Our office hours are Monday-Friday 9-6pm Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST)
 
What time is check-in/check-out?
Cottage:
Check-in starts from 3:00pm.
Check-out is at 10:00am.
Studio:
Check-in starts from 2:00pm.
Check-out is at 10:00am.
What are your Terms and Conditions of booking?

When will the damage deposit be returned to me?
We will endeavour to return your damage deposit to you within 2 working days after your checkout date.
 
Can I make a deposit on my booking?

Yes, we automatically accept a 50% deposit on all bookings. Final payment is due 2 weeks before your check-in date.

Guests:

Do you provide meals for guests?
No, prepared meals are not provided. However, we do provide farm fresh eggs (when available) and tea during your stay.
 
Can we invite additional guests to stay overnight with us during our stay?
In Mango Tree Cottage, yes, you can; however, there is a $30 per person per night charge for additional guests.
In the Fig Tree Retro Studio, no you cannot.
 
What should we do if we have any issues?
You should contact the property owners as quickly as possible so that they can put measures in place to rectify the situation.

The Property:

Do you use rain water or town water?

We use rain water on the property. When it rains, the water is collected and stored in a tank which is then dispered to the cottage and the studio. We ask that each guest be mindful of their water usage, especially when using the dishwasher, washing machine and showering. 
 
Filtered drinking water is provided in the kitchens of both the cottage and studio.

 

 
How is the cottage and studio heated and cooled?
The cottage sits on a hill and this allows it to get a good amount of cross breeze in summer -- enough to not require air conditioning. Also, there are fans in every room. In the winter, you are welcomed to light the log fire and snuggle up (wood provided). 
The studio similarly gets very good coastal breeze and there are fans installed. In the winter, a portable heater is provided.
 
Do you have parking?
Yes, there is undercover parking for 2 vehicles in the cottage; and dedicated parking for the studio.
Do you have Wi-Fi?

Free Wifi is available; however, it is by no means reliable, so please consider this when booking.

Is there any part of the property that is off-limits?
Guests are free to roam around the property should they desire; however, the property owners residence is off-limits.

 

Pets:

Are dogs and cats allowed?
Yes, Mango Tree Cottage is a pet friendly environment and you are free to bring along your four-legged friends anytime. However, no pets are allowed in the Fig Tree Retro Studio.

Is a bond needed?

No, no pet bond is collected.

How much do you charge for pets?

Pets are charged $30 per pet per night.

What animals are there on the property?

The property is currently home to chickens (non-free ranging), 2 Huacaya breed alpacas Billy and Emmy, and our Black Labrador/Border Collie mix, Jetti. 

Transportation:

 

Is there public transportation nearby?

 

It is best to have your own vehicle as public transport is limited. 

 

There is some limited bus services to and from the property into Pottsville town during the school year. From town there are buses north to the Gold Coast and south to Byron Bay and beyond. Your host will be happy to help you with information about transport as much as possible.

 
What are the nearest airports to the property?
There are 2 airports close to the property -- there is Coolangatta (or Gold Coast) Airport, which is about a 20 minute drive away, and there is also Byron/Ballina Aiport which is about a 30 minute drive away.
 
Do you provide airport pickup?
No, we don't I'm afraid; however, there are heaps of airport pickup carriers in the vicinity.
